LIfe Continued

Still working at the emergency shelter. It's been fun and hard. I got sick yesterday in the stomach, nothing to intense.

We're having our small group tonight. I have to find a baby sitter. I might go to Hillcountry on Campus tonight at TSU. Some friends lead it.

Why do I write in this blog anyway? I don't know who if anyone is reading. It would be nice to have a counter or something. And then all these people who do read might be shy and not write any responses. Is my writing so boring that you have nothing to say....Ah Hear Me SCREAM LOUDLY on the internet. May it reverberate through the fingers of millions of keyboard typers across the earth.

Ok...That was silly. I watched some of the Terry S. tube feeding drama on TV. It's sad. I want her to live. I'm praying for her and her family.

How did judges get so much power? One got shot last week. The murderer repented and surrendered after a Christian witness loved him. There is something to the Jesus thing people, that logic and good ideas can't touch. We sometimes get so smart we just start killing each other. We justify it, we hate it, we debate it, we're hopely move in circles, spiraling downward. Who can save us?

Hey, those could lyrics to a new song.

I'm out.

Youth Ranch and other stuff.

Hey, so it's been about a month or more since I wrote. I am no longer substitute teaching but found a job at an emergency shelter for young boys. CPS delivers them there and they stay for up to three months. It's fun and difficult.

We took them to see Robots last Sunday. Wow, it was a test to manage the boys at the theatre.

Still keeping up my prayer life as best I can. The baby is on his way and due July 2. Heidi is having a baby shower for Zechariah Daniel Crosby.

Heidi told me she found out she was mostly Irish. She used to think she was just a big mixture of things. We think its neat because Mexican's and Irish have much in common. They both have seen poverty, wars, have Catholic influences, and mystical cultures. She wonders if this is where some of her fistyness comes from. The fighting Irish.

Anyhow I came to the library to update and look for some books and to turn in something overdue. I was listening to KTSW on the way here. They played some really neat interesting music. The station is the Texas State University station.

God has opened up some neat opportunities to share at work to staff and kids. I'm telling them bedtime bible stories and praying with them at bedtime. There is a lot of questions, woundedness and interest.

Heidi and I have been hosting and leading a small group for our church Hillcountry Faith Ministries. Only one family is coming at the time but it's lots of fun and we have childcare. We're discussing spiritual gifts and laughing and freaking out at times.

San Marcos has been cool. I'm trying to get out to the river more. It seems to wash away worries and connect me to nature and the simple profoundness of God. Anyhow, I'd like to go swimming more.
