Hello all. I wanted to post an encouragement and a challenge to all who support Mr. Keyes. If God wants this man to be president, it will happen. Please pray that we get a president who does indeed fear God and desires to walk in obedience to Him. As far as I can tell so far, Mr. Keyes is the only candidate who unashamedly professes his faith in Jesus Christ. And, the views expressed by Mr. Keyes are consistent with this claim. There are other candidates professing to be God-followers, but their viewpoints are not consistent with that claim. Ask God for discernment regarding the candidates, use the Scriptures to hold up the measuring stick. If the views expressed by a candidate do not measure up, then they are most likely not truly committed to following God or they are mistaken/confused about what God stands for/against.If you are a "believer" please ask God to direct your vote. If Mr. Keyes is on the level with his faith, then the choice should be made very clearly to you by God about who to vote for.
Alan Keyes
I first heard about his guy recently on Sean Hannity (link for video). Most voices I have heard in the media are putting him down, but I really like what he is saying about our nations goals, problems and solutions. I believe America needs someone like this. I know many people will cringe at that statement, but this is what I think is right because of America's foundation. Keyes is right that if America does not address that our rights originate from God (as the Declaration of Independence declares) then we will loose our freedoms.
Check him out.

Faith and Science
"What do you teach in science class? You teach science. What do you teach in Sunday school class? You teach your faith. "
I think that both science and faith should be pursuing the very same thing...what is the truth about reality. Faith is not fantasy. Faith in God is a pursuit of the truth about reality.

"PBS- Intelligent Design on Trial" response
A Response to Selected Online Materials of PBS-NOVA's"Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial" Documentary
I missed the Nova showing, but this discussion always interests me. It sturs me to think that evolution is the only theory discussed in public school classrooms and many of evolutions problematic holes are not discussed. It seems that letting students be intelligently aware of the debate going on in their world, both sides, would only increase their educational knowledge. Personally, evolution made sense to me during my public school education, but studying the other side of the argument that was not presented to me in school has helped me to see that both the theory of evolution and creationism require a lot of faith about things not answerable. The theory of evolution is not so simply logical as I though it was.

A short history of abortion
interesting notes:
The first government to sanction abortions was the atheistic communist government of the Soviet Union in 1920, followed by Nazi Germany in 1935.
It was not however until the 1950s that any other governments or major religious bodies came to sanction abortion for the sole purpose of killing the unborn child.
For such a ruling to be credible, it was necessary to remove the legal protection of the unborn child by declaring that "legal person-hood does not exist pre-natally (i.e. a baby is not a person until it is born and therefore has no rights to life under the law)".
It is perhaps appropriate, in the circumstances, to point out that this same declaration had once been made by the Supreme Court in respect of slaves in 1857 in order to legitimise slavery and that in Nazi Germany, Gypsies, homosexuals and Jews were all declared to be non-persons in order to sanction their extermination.

Could Abortion In America Lead to a Second Civil War?
Could abortion be the new topic to divide this nation? Slavery was the topic back then. Half of America saw African American's as less than human, and the other half saw that they were human and deserved freedom. Today, half of America sees the fetus as not human, and the other half sees it as a human.
Back then, African Americans were held captive, sometimes abused, and sometimes murdered. Today unborn children are killed daily. Many will say, "It isn't a human though." Which only proves my point because many others will answer, "Yes it is."
How many slaves were killed before slavery in America ended? How many fetuses have been aborted (ie. killed) since roe vs. wade? 46 million
In the future, could abortion along with other conservative /liberal issues lead to a repeat of history?
Part of me wants to say this is silly, we are too advanced a society to resort to violence, but look at our crime rates. Are we more civil now than when the first Civil War began.
In no way should his topic be dismissed as fantasy.
Below is an essay that is well written about the divided America.

As of the most recent update of this FAQ, the estimated total number of abortions is over 46 million.

I was Stunned
And this was also the day I read about The Common Word. Moderate Muslims reaching out to Christians in dialog and peace.
All I can say right now is that all Christians need to study the trends of growing Islam. Europe is becoming Muslim and democratic tolerance is fertile soil for Muslim growth.
The "Christian" West offers freedom of religion to Islam; they continue to build mosques, yet why is it that in Muslim countries, Chrisitanity is forbiddin. I plan to write more later.
Sorry for sounding apocalyptic but I feel the immensity of this growing threat to democracy and Christianity. We have no idea.

Revival is not coming to your church...
That's right, revival is not coming to your church...at least not in the way you think it will. The purpose of revival is not just to get people saved so that they can fill your church. The energy of the Holy Spirit is coming, salvations are coming...and they will fuel the prayer furnace. For God is building a prayer army to usher in the end time harvest. Revival is coming, but not just to Glorify one church congregation, revival will fill the prayer rooms to cry out for the salvation of Israel, the return of Jesus, the salvation of the lost, etc.
The prayer room's purpose is not to usher in a revival for your congregation. Revival's purpose is to fill the local prayer rooms to usher in the global move of God.
