When I saw this I thought about how I'm suppose to believe that a "SIMPLE!" cell emerged from premordial soup. There is no such thing as a simple cell. It's like calling a laptop "simple" because it's smaller than a mainframe computer, but a cell is so much more complicated than even a laptop. Not only did the first cell have to be alive but had to have the dna code and process to replicate itself. That is a huge jump to make from premordial soup to this supercomplicated first cell. I think it would make more sense to say that a super intelligent alien race programmed and created the first cell, but of course we couldn't call that super intelligent alien entity God. That would be anti-scientific but an alien race though, that would be a hypothesis.

John is Set Free
Why, there is one village where they think he [the Landlord] has a trunk like an elephant. Now anyone can see that that couldn't be true.'
'And what is better still, we know how the villagers came to think so. It all began by an elephant escaping from the local zoo; and then some old villager--he was probably drunk--saw it wandering about on the mountain one night, and so the story grew up that the Landlord had a trunk.'
'Did they catch the elephant again?'
'Did who?'
'The anthropologists.'
"Oh, my dear boy, you are misunderstanding. This happened long before there were any anthropologists.'
'Then how do they know?'
'Well, as to that...I see that you have a very crude notion of how science actually works. To put it simply-for, of course, you could not understand the technical explanation--to put it simply, they know that the escaped elephant must have been the source of the trunk story because they know that an escaped snake must have been the source of the snake story in the next village--and so on. This is called the inductive method. Hypothesis, my dear young friend, establishes itself by a cumulative process: or, to use popular language, if you make the same guess often enough it ceases to be a guess and becomes a Scientific Fact.'
After he had thought for a while, John said:
'I think I see. Most of the stories about the Landlord are probably untrue; therefore the rest are probaby untrue.'
'Well that is as near as a beginner can get to it, perhaps. But when you have had a scientific training you will find that you can be quite certain about all sorts of things which now seem to you only probable.

Do You Perceive My Meaning?
"Noble Tarkaan,' said the Cat in that silky voice of his, 'I just wanted to know exactly what we both meant today about Aslan meaning no more than Tash.'
"Doubtless, most sagacious of cats,' says the other, 'you have perceived my meaning.'
"'You mean, 'says Ginger, 'that there's no such person as either.'
"All who are enlightened know that,' said the Tarkaan.
"Then we can understand one another, 'purrs the Cat.
....
"And it would be better, wouldn't it, 'said Ginger, 'to let some of the more enlightened Narnians into our counsels, one by one as we find them apt. For the Beasts who really believe in Aslan may turn at any moment--and will, if the Ape's folly betrays his secret. But those who care neither for Tash nor Aslan but have only an eye to their own profit and such reward as the Tisroc may give them when Narnia is a Calormene province, will be firm.'
"Excellent, Cat,'said the Captain. 'But choose which ones carefully."

Christian Views on Globalism
It is evident that because of the teachings of the book of Revelation, many Christians are hesitant to move towards a globalist society. With the recession, possible pandemics, and the Internet it seems that the world is a smaller and smaller place. With social sites and YouTube, dialog amongst different nations is bridging us and information/media sharing is growing exponentially. A global culture seems inevitable.
Being a Christian, and one who studies the prophecies of Revelation, I have in the past resisted the ideas of a Global society, for I see that the possibility for great evil exists there. The idea of an evil global empire is a scary thing. For any who read this who are not of the faith, think of the Star Wars emperor of the Empire...that sort of thing.
With things progressing as fast as they are, I don't see who a global society can be avoided, and I question whether Christians should fight against it.
Knowing of the possible evils that will come of a unified world government makes me think of this analogy. It's like being a parent and knowing that your child will grow up and become a great leader and do many great and wonderful things, but will also be a serial killer. What would you do as a parent with this knowledge? Would you sabotage your own child and murder him? No. Would you teach him, pray for him, admonish him on right and wrong? Strongly.
I do not think it is in the power of Christians to stop the globalization that is taking place on the earth. It seems to be the nature of this creature called man to develop in this way and to seek progress and a global unity. It's in our "DNA" whether by good or evil. It is there. Is globalization wrong? I don't think so. Is it potentially dangerous? The pitfalls available to a one world government are tremendous and can cause unheard of evils.
If a global government should become evil in its policies, there is no longer any check for its power, there is no longer a nation to seek asylum in. That is another discussion that is needed all over the earth, "What are the dangers that need to be avoided as we globalize?" How will there be a check of power, protection of speech and religious expression.
Can and should Christians stop what has been prophesied from occurring? I don't know. We should intercede and pray for evil's impact to be kept at a minimum. Should Christians speak out the warnings as the prophets of old warned Israel of coming dangers? I think so.
Should Christians resist the globalization that is occurring? Would the parents of the child destined to become a killer seek to keep their child from growing up? What do you think?

Re: Special FREE drawing/painting software opportunity!
ArtRage....Artsonia is giving a free trail to Art Teachers who are members. This is my first painting without any training or tutorials. Its interface is super easy and the effects are very life-like. It uses layers as the drying process. Each layer stays wet for blending. To allow drying time, a new layer allows you to paint on top of old paint and it still keeps the texture of paint underneath.
